DAY 1 - ARRIVE NAPLES
Arrive Naples International airport, meet your English-Speaking driver and transfer to our hotel. Get settled in your room and take some time to rest and recuperate from your flights. In the late afternoon / early evening hours, meet with Alida and your fellow travelers at the lobby of the hotel.
We will head out for our orientational tour of Naples with street food tasting along the way! (Delicious!). Finally, we will arrive our pizzeria where we will enjoy an original pizza Napoletana and a drink.
DAY 2 - NAPLES - POMPEII - VESUVIUS - POLIGNANO A MARE
Prepare for an unforgettable day! Today, We will check out of our hotel, meet our licensed local guide, and enjoy a 2 hour tour of the Roman city Pompeii. We will learn about the city lie as well as how it perished within hours in the infamous Vesuvius eruption in 79 AD. Afterwards, we will explore the Vesuvius mountain itself! And indulge ourselves in a delicious lunch and wine tasting at a local winery. After lunch, in the early afternoon hours, it will be time to head toward the East Coast of Italy. With stops along the way for rest and refreshements, we will arrive Polignano a Mare in the early evening hours. The evening is at leisure, you can rest, or meet up with Alida and let’s go explore the town and grab a bite!
DAY 3 - EXPLORE BARI & POLIGNANO
After breakfast (but not too early this morning), we will head to Bari, the capital city of the region of Puglia. We’ll meet our licensed local guide and enjoy a tour of the markets, and the main city areas. We will try out the street food along the way too! After the tour, we’ll have some free time in the city. Go explore on own, or spend some time shopping! We will meet again in the early afternoon hours and head back to Polignano where we will take a walk around the town together to discover some of the nicest views of the town and it’s famous beach. Your evening is at leisure! Enjoy, explore the local restaurants, relax!
DAY 4 - OSTUNI, CISTERINO, LOCOROTONDO
Another day of exploring amazing places is ahead of us! After breakfast we will meet our local guide and head on the discovery of the beautiful hilltop towns of Puglia! We will visit the less touristy Locorotondo, The famous Ostuni, often called “the white town” and the little, but charming Cisterino. Our guide will lead us through the narrow streets while we admire the architecture and beauties of all 3 of the towns. We will also enjoy lunch at a local trattoria, to sample all the best locally produced foods. The return to our hotel in Polignano is planned for 5 Pm in the afternoon. Tonight, let’s meet for drinks on the town, it’s our last evening in Puglia!
DAY 5 - ALBEROBELLO & MATERA
Enjoy some time at leisure this morning. Sleep a little longer! Or, get up early to see the sun rising! We will be leaving Polignano around 10 AM. Our first stop today will be Alberobello, one of the most unique UNESCO World Heritage sites in the world. It is so special that it feels unreal! But it’s real :D and amazing! We will enjoy a tour of Alberobello with a local guide who will explain about the life in Puglia and why this style of housing was perfect for the area. After the tour, we will have plenty of time to explore Alberobello on own, do some shopping and sit down for lunch in
one of the many local restaurants. In the early afternoon, we will meet again and continue our way to the region of Basilicata and it’s gem – Matera. Upon arrival to Matera we will settle into our rooms! I promise, this is one of the craziest, amazing hotels you’ve ever seen! Matera is small and cute, let’s meet in the evening and find a nice place to have dinner and drinks together!
DAY 6 - EXPLORE MATERA
Today we’ll have a relaxing day! Starting in the later morning hours, we will enjoy a tour of the Sassi area of Matera. We will learn about the history and hard life of this mesmerizing place! How people lived in their cave-houses will blow your mind! In the afternoon, it is time to relax and enjoy! You can go out to discover more of Matera, or treat yourself with some exclusive shopping within the luxury shopping area managed by our hotel! You can buy the best local products, from pasta to cheeses and wines, as well as unique designer clothes, accessories and souvenirs! Let’s meet for dinner in a close by trattoria.
DAY 7 - WINE TOUR NEARBY MATERA
This morning about 10 AM we will meet at the reception of our hotel and head out to explore the surroundings of Matera. We will enjoy a panoramic drive and arrive our winery. Here, our host will take us on the discovery of the vineyard and winery. We will learn about the process of making wine, and enjoy a tasting paired with some of the tastiest local foods. On the way back, we will enjoy another stop. It will seem as if we are stopping in the middle of nowhere, but we will enjoy a walk through the fields to get to an amazing view point of Matera. It’s an awesome photo opportunity! And just a beautiful place – on the hill right next to the one of Matera. Return to our hotel with time some time at leisure before we meet to go out for dinner at drinks (optional, you can relax if you prefer).
DAY 8 - PAESTUM & AMALFI
In the morning we’ll bid farewell to Matera and its beauties while traveling back toward the west coast of Italy. We will arrive Paestum, a town known for 2 things: 3 Ancient, Magna Grecia Temples, and the delicious Mozzarella di Bufala production! First, we’ll stop in the archeological area, meet our local guide and enjoy a tour of the mesmerizing Ancient Greek temples and the museum, and afterward, we will head to an organic Mozzarella Farm. We will enjoy a short tour to see the Bufalina cows and how they live (they have a spa area! :D), as well as how the owners use their milk to produce amazing and various dairy products. We will crown our tour with a delicious light lunch on site. You’ll have some time to relax after, drink a coffee or have a gelato, and then, we’ll head toward the Amalfi coast! You will enjoy the views along the way! We will arrive Amalfi in the afternoon hours and settle into our hotel. Let’s meet in the early evening hours and head out for dinner and drinks. (optional, you can relax in the evening if you prefer)
DAY 9 - DAYTRIP TO CAPRI
It will be an early wake up! As we will walk down to the port and board our ferry boat to Capri! Enjoy the scenery along the sail and admire the beauties of the Amalfi coast. Upon arrival to Capri, we will meet with our licensed local guide and enjoy a tour of the towns of Capri and Anacapri. Later, we will have plenty of free time to explore the island at your own pace! Join me on the crazy chair lift to go see the amazing views from the top of the island! We will gather again in Capri port to board our boat back to Amalfi. Enjoy your free evening and relax, the hotel offers wonderful options.
DAY 10 - AMALFI COAST TOUR
In the morning we will meet our drivers and local licensed guide. We’ll explore the peninsula with vans as it will be easier and nicer! The guide will switch vans during the day, so that everyone can hear about the history and life of the area. Of course, we will be together during the stops. We will stop in Ravello, and visit Villa Rufolo, have a limoncello tasting and explore Sorrento. On the way back, we will stop above Positano. The cars cannot drive down into the town, so we have to walk! But it’s going to be fun! We will take a walk around Positano, have a coffee or drink in one of the bars at the beach and head back to meet with our drivers and head back to our hotel. We will have some time to get ready and refresh, and than we’ll head to a local trattoria where we will enjoy our farewell dinner, 3 courses with drinks included. We can have some fun tonight!?
DAY 11 - DEPART ITALY
Today your driver will pick you up from the hotel, depending on the time of your departure time.

A few things to know before you go ahead:
PRICES:
Prices are per person based upon shared twin/double room occupancy. Prices do not include items of a personal nature such as laundry, wines, water, beverages, or food other than those described in the
itinerary, passport and visa fees, insurance, and foreign port taxes unless specifically indicated in
the package inclusions.
A single supplement is quoted in each program/itinerary for the single use of a hotel room.
Triple rooms may be available upon request, at a slightly per-person discounted rate.
PAYMENT & CANCELLATION:
Deposit:
A non-refundable deposit is due at the time of reservation
All reservations: $500 per person
Final Payment:
All reservations: 45 days prior to the tour start date
Late Payment: If there is any outstanding balance by the Final Payment Due date listed on your
invoice, all travel services will be subject to automatic cancellation, and cancellation fees will apply.
Form of Payment: All payments due are in US Dollars. We accept payment in form of personal
check, wire transfers, major credit cards, or debit cards.
Refunds: Refunds are processed to the credit card(s) originally used for payment
Cancellation: Once a partial or full payment has been made, cancellations will only be accepted in
writing, and sent directly to alida@alidalifetravel.com.
Cancellation terms will be applied based on the
date that the written cancellation is received and based on the following dates prior to departure.
