Arrive in ZAGREB
Arrive Zagreb international airport (ZAG). Your driver will be waiting to greet you and escort you to our centrally located Hotel in Zagreb.
Enjoy some time at leisure to recuperate from your long flight. In the early evening hours, we will meet in the hotel Lobby for introductions with your fellow travelers and your tour manager, Alida. After a short welcome meeting, we will head out for an amazing welcome dinner at a local restaurant to dive into the tastes of Croatia in style. (Dinner)
DAY 2 / Thursday, Aug 18, 2022
In ZAGREB
This morning, enjoy your breakfast, and after join me for coffee on the outside seating area. After coffee and all the group is together, we will head out to explore Zagreb city center. Zagreb was my home for 20
years, I am looking forward to showing you my favorite spots, but we will also enjoy a 2-hour guided tour with an expert local guide who will go a bit more in depth on the history, legends and characters that influenced Zagreb and its life through the centuries. After the walking tour, enjoy some free time! The afternoon is yours to enjoy and discover the city! (I will give you recommendations during our “coffee session” in the morning!)
In the early evening – we will meet once again on the outside seating area of our hotel, to enjoy a few drinks and if we feel like it – head out to experience a bit of Zagreb’s night life!
DAY 3 / Friday, Aug 19, 2022
ZAGREB - PLITVICE LAKES NP
Today we bit farewell to Zagreb and head toward the Plitvice Lakes National Park, but be sure you will experience something amazing even before getting there! There is a surprise stop on the way! A beautiful place where we will have time to grab a bite and take many beautiful pictures! Later, we will continue our way to the National Park Plitvice Lakes, a true wonder of nature, 16 beautiful lakes connected with waterfalls and surrounded by mountains and lush vegetation. We will meet your
licensed local guide and enjoy a 3-hour long tour of the lower lakes. There will be a boat ride, an easy hike and electrical bus ride to get us back to our lodge. We will enjoy dinner at the lodge tonight, simple but tasty!
DAY 4 / Saturday, Aug 20, 2021
PLITVICE LAKES NP – SPLIT
This morning I suggest you wake up early! Our entrance ticket allows another entry into the NP, so this morning, if you’d like, let’s go see the Upper Lakes! The experience is completely different and we will be able to enjoy it at the perfect light – morning light! This is not mandatory, if you prefer to stay in and sleep longer – it’s totally fine! At 11:30 we will be back on our coach to travel to Split. Our driver will drop us off at the port where we will join the rest of the group and board our ship!
