DAY 1 / Saturday, May 28, 2022
ZADAR – PLITVICE LAKES NP
Today we bit farewell to the Adriatic coast and head inland, onto the discovery of the “Green Croatia” and the marvelous Plitvice Lakes National Park. This NP is protected by UNESCO, as Natural Site, it consists of 16 beautiful lakes connected with waterfalls and surrounded by mountains and lush vegetation. Upon arrival we will meet our licensed local guide and enjoy a boat ride on the lakes, a walking tour admiring the lower lakes, and an electric bus ride. Tonight we’ll have dinner at our lodge, simple but very tasty!
DAY 2 / Sunday, May 29, 2022
PLITVICE LAKES NP – ZAGREB
This morning I suggest you wake up early! Our entrance ticket allows another entry into the NP, so this morning, if you’d like, let’s go see the Upper Lakes! The experience is completely different and we will be able to enjoy it at the perfect light – morning light! This is not mandatory, if you prefer to stay in and sleep longer – it’s totally fine! At 11:30 we will be back on our coach to travel to Zagreb, but we will have another stop on the way! Just to grab a bite in a beautiful village overlooking beautiful waterfalls! Upon arrival to Zagreb, we will get settled in our hotel with time at leisure.
DAY 3 / Monday, May 30, 2022
In ZAGREB
This morning, enjoy your breakfast, and after join me for coffee on the outside seating area. After coffee and all the group is together, we will head out to explore Zagreb city center. Zagreb was my home for 20 years, I am looking forward to showing you my favorite spots, but we will also enjoy a 2-hour guided tour with an expert local guide who will go a bit more in depth on the history, legends and characters that influenced Zagreb and its life through the centuries. After the walking tour, enjoy some free time! The afternoon is yours to enjoy and discover the city! (I will give you recommendations during our “coffee session” in the morning!)
In the early evening – we will meet once again at the hotel lobby and head out for our farewell dinner!
DAY 4 / Tuesday, May 31, 2021
Depart ZAGREB
Today you will be picked up at your hotel and transferred to the Zagreb International Airport for your homebound flight.
