Adriatic Queen Cruise

The Adriatic Queen is a very special ship, a catamaran! It was completely refurbished in 2017. It has 15 cabins for a total capacity of 31 guests. A small ship for big adventures! The Queen is famous for its beautiful dining space, and a very talented chef! Relax on the sun deck with the hot tub and comfortable sunbeds.

DAY 1 / SATURDAY, MAY 21, 2022

DUBROVNIK
Embarkation begins at 13:00h. Get settled in your cabin before gathering in the rear part of the deck to meet Alida and your fellow travelers. Later, we attend a Welcome Reception to meet our crew members and the captain. After dinner, let’s head out to the old city of Dubrovnik for a walk and drinks! Overnight in Dubrovnik. (WR, D)

DAY 2 / SUNDAY, MAY 22, 2022

DUBROVNIK – MLJET – KORČULA
This morning, after breakfast, we will meet our licensed local guide and head out to learn about the history of the Pearl of the Adriatic, this marvalous city entirely under UNESCO World Heritage protection. We will get back to our ship around lunch time, and enjoy our lunch on board while we admire the views sailing out of Dubrovnik. We will head toward our first island destination, the island of Mljet. Here, we will enjoy the visit to the National Park well known for its versatile eco-system and two
salt lakes (‘’Veliko jezero’’- Big Lake and ‘’Malo jezero’’- Small Lake), and for the Benedictine Monastery from 12th century located on St Mary’s Islet. In the afternoon, we continue sailing to our next stop, Korčula. You are free to explore Korcula on your own, or meet with Alida to go grab a bite and enjoy the atmosphere together! (B, L)

DAY 3 / MONDAY, MAY 23, 2022

KORČULA – HVAR
This morning we will stroll the beautiful, narrow streets of Korčula in the company of an expert licensed guide. Korčula is one of the best-preserved medieval cities in the Mediterranean, thought to be the birthplace of the famous explorer Marco Polo. We will learn about the history and about the life of this famous explorer. We will return to the ship and enjoy lunch and a wonderful swim stop (if you are brave, as the Sea will be a bit chilly!) while we sail toward the island of Hvar. We will arrive Hvar in the afternoon and enjoy a short walking tour with a licensed local guide to find out about its rich history, beautiful architecture, and important landmarks such as the Cathedral of St Stephen, the Theatre (one of the oldest in Europe), and the Spanish Fortress overlooking the town from a hill above. Later, you can
join Alida to hike the hill and visit the Spanish Fortress for the most magical views of the city, have your camera ready for photos! Tonight, enjoy the many restaurants in town and as Hvar, relax and enjoy the

DAY 4 / TUESDAY, MAY 24, 2022

HVAR – BOL – SPLIT
We sail out of Hvar in the morning and head to our next destination, Bol on the island of Brač. Bol is famous for its Golden Cape, the 530 m / 1740ft long golden pebbly beach. This beach is not only beautiful but also unique because it changes shape and position depending on the winds and currents. We will have time to walk around this small town, have a coffee or enjoy the beach. We will be back on board for lunch as we continue sailing to Split, a 1700 years old city. Upon arrival our licensed local guide
will take us on the discovery of the glorious Diocletian Palace and this marvelous city that emerged in and around it’s walls. Diocletian was the only Roman Emperor who retired, and built this palace in this spot as he thought it’s the most beautiful place in the world. We will learn about his life while enjoying the streets of Split, also entirely protected as UNESCO World Heritage site. Tonight, you are free to enjoy Split at your own pace. DAY 5 / WEDNESDAY, MAY 25, 2022

SPLIT – TROGIR – ŠIBENIK
This morning we will find our way to Trogir, yet another marvelous UNESCO World Heritage site. We will have free time to take a walk while admiring Trogir’s rich history full of Greek, Roman, and Venetian
influences, visible along every single step of its beautiful, narrow, cobbled streets. You can also enjoy coffee in one of the many caffes or do some souvenir shopping! Take a break and admire the architecture of Trogir’s most imposing monument, the Cathedral of St Lawrence, built in Romanesque Gothic style. As we sit down onboard our ship to have lunch, the captain will set sail to our next destination, Sibenik. But before arriving we will stop in a beautiful bay to swim or just enjoy the nature!
Explore Sibenik on your own and come back to the ship for a night cap with Alida. Overnight in Šibenik.

DAY 6 / THURSDAY, MAY 26, 2022

ŠIBENIK – TELAŠĆICA
This morning we will board a coach, in the company of an expert local guide and head for a visit to the National Park Krka. One of the most beautiful natural sites in Croatia. A true masterpiece of river waters
interacting with the mountainous landscape creating mesmerizing waterfalls and pools. We will visit the largest cascade, Skradinski Buk, home to over 17 beautiful natural barriers. We will return to our ship for
lunch and this afternoon we will enjoy the most breath-taking views of the Adiratic Sea as we sail into the Kornati National Park. This archipelago has 140 islands, islets and reefs. 89 of them are part of the National Park. Tonight, we dock in Telascica Bay. A Nature Park with a salty lake and gorgeous high cliffs where we will enjoy taking some photos. Tonight, will be dinner on board, and not just any dinner! It will be Captain’s Dinner! We will sample some festive Croatian dishes and have a party afterward! (B, L, CD)

DAY 7 / FRIDAY, MAY 27, 2022

TELAŠĆICA – ZADAR
On our last day of sailing, we head to Zadar. Enjoy a lazy morning on board, lunch and a swim stop along the sail. When we dock in Zadar, we will meet our licensed local guide and head out on the exploration
of the magnificent streets of the old town and admire some of Zadar’s famous sights like the Roman Forum from the 1st century BC, and the Church of St Donatus, the famous cathedral dedicated to St Anastasia, locally called St Stošija. At sunset we will sit down by the sea and listen to the sounds of the famous Sea Organ while we admire the colors of the sky blending into the monument to the Sun! It’s our last evening, so let’s have some fun together tonight! Overnight in Zadar. (B, L)

DAY 8 / SATURDAY, MAY 28, 2022

ZADAR DEPARTURE
After breakfast, it’s time to disembark. Your transfer to Zadar international airport will be arranged depending on your flight schedule. Or, join Alida for another 3 days to discover the Plitvice Lakes NP and Zagreb, the capital city!
